2011 J Art Studio Summer
Camps |

We are pleased to announce that our special summer camps are starting from June 20th
through August 26th at all three locations: Annandale, Chantilly, and Centreville
locations. Please note that our
regular afternoon and Saturday classes are continued all year round at all three
locations.
NEW: Starting this year, we are adding "Teen Summer Camp" for age 11 and
up to high school students. Each session has one week classes from 10:00am to 1:00pm.
This camp is only available at Chantilly location.Please call for inquiry and to
register.
Summer Camp Sessions:

Camp sessions below are only available during summer, June 20th - August 26th, Monday
through Friday.
Each camp session runs for two consecutive weeks with each class meeting twice on the
same weekday over the two-week period.
Students can sign up for either half-day or full-day session. $100 deposit or full
amount is required for half-day and full-day sessions, and $50 will be charged if
cancelled.
- 6/20 to 7/1
- 7/5 to 7/15 (Tuition is pro-rated for this session due to Independence Day holiday
closing)
- 7/18 to 7/29
- 8/1 to 8/12
- 8/15 to 8/26

below.
- $300 per half-day camp session (two consecutive weeks, Monday through Friday).
Students select classes from the available class
options.
- $60 per class (meets twice on same weekday over the two-week camp session).
Students may enroll in more than one class, but only one for each weekday.

- $500 per full-day camp session (two consecutive weeks, Monday through Friday).

Extended Care: 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm (additional $50 per camp session)

This extended care is provided as a service for Full-Day summer camp students who cannot
be picked up by 3:30 pm.
However, J Art Studio does not provide students with a separate project during the
extended care period.
Students must bring their own work for this period.

Learn the techniques of easy step-by-step intructions of how to draw Manga.
General Drawing/Craft Ages 3 and up.
Fun classes for students for drawing using different mediums and making 3D
crafts.

3D Jurassic Park Ages 5 and up.
Go back in time with making exciting dinosaurs in jurassic background with Valcanoes
and other jurassic animals.
3D Amusement Park Age 6 and up.
Make various rides in an amusement park full of people enjoying the rides.
3D Playground Age 4 and up.
Make this whimsical playground where it is every children's dream to play all day.
Student can build different playground equipments to make them swing and move for the
playground come alive.
3D Camping Ground Age 4 and up.
Build your own unique camping ground where you make picnic area, fishing dock, tents and
other wild animals in the wild.
3D Farm Age 5 and up.
build a charming farm surrounded with different farm animals, vegitables, buildings,and
other characters to personalize your farm land.

Clay Ages 3 and up.
Create almost any kind of sculpture. Students follow an easy step-by-step course of
instruction or
work independently. Good for all ages.

Paper Arts Ages 5 and up.
Using papers to fold, cut, and glue to create paper arts will challenge each child's
imagination
and nurture creativity. Choose one of two.

Intro to Animation - (Ages 11 and up)
Students will create a short animation.
In 5 classes that includes stop motion, cutout and clay animation techniques.
Students must bring a laptop PC and USB webcam or digital camera.
Tuition: $150
- 5 sessions: June 20 - 24
- 5 sessions: July 11 - 15
- 5 sessions: Aug 1 - 5

Book Making - (Ages 11 and up) A handmade book is special in that you probably
won't find another one like it anywhere in the world. It is a special art form for
telling a stories, expressing feelings and sharing ideas. Student will create a short
story book with illustrations and learn about different types of book design.
Tuition: $150
- 5 sessions: June 27 - July 1
- 5 sessions: July 18 - 22
- 5 sessions: Aug 8 - 12

Mixed Media Painting - (Ages 11 and up) Experiment with new material and
techniques. Acrylic mix with collage, fabric, stencils, and any found objects. You'll
learn how to design captivating mixed media paintings. You'll be surprized at what you
can do!
Tuition: $150
- 4 sessions: July 5 - 8 - $120
- 5 sessions: July 25 - 29
- 5 sessions: Aug 15 - 19

Portfolio Camp - (High School Students only) Student will create a wide ranging
portfolio that displays his/her technical skill and individuality.
